You could not give me one with a ball in it, I like the Jug waterer, but then I sell them. How cold will your barn get inside?

I'm actually half way impressed with the Jugs.

I rented a farm that has both Jugs and Cobbets.

Not sure I would buy either one personally but the Jugs will most likely be open and no ice versus the crappy Cobbett.

This farm has a couple Jugs inside the barn and if cattle are in the barn I don't think they have ever froze.

My main beef with the Jug is I'm not sure cattle get enough to drink because they have to 'suck' the water. Thinking along the lines of when I'm really thirsty do I want to drink through a straw? Or tip the glass up and get hydrated!!!
Lots of cattle come to drink and it takes them a long time to all cycle through the Jugs.
