rumlum - 12/29/2025 20:22 Those are great looking herford cows there Jim , always enjoy your pics. How do you like the jcb track skid steer? does it work pretty good in the snow? You have the good tracks for the snow I love my JCB, it's a 2018 300T model, tracks are the standard ones that came on this model. It's great on the snow. Cab is warm and comfortable, but the side door and visibility are keys. I haven't started a tractor in weeks! I don't think I could use it as I do without the side door. When I had a conventional design rubber tire skid steer carrying bales around and opening/closing gates I was always tempted to lift the bale and climb out the front under the bale. A very dangerous thing to do. I also don't climb quite as well as I used to! Visibility is much better than any other skid steer I've used. Engine compartment layout is also easier to access and service than others. Thanks for the kind words on my Herefords. I had to reduce my numbers a couple years ago due to some medical issues (with me not the cows!), now rebuilding with my best homegrown genetics. These are well adapted to my (mostly) grass fed, rotational grazing system and our local weather. They get woolly in the winter but really slick up nice for summer. Dispositions like teddy bears. |
