We're in a weather pattern of very cold windy nights after snow. I unrolled some hay this afternoon along the woods where they'll be somewhat sheltered from the NW winds. In our hills I just unwrap the bale and give it a push with the forks. Makes sure they all get a chance to fill those rumen furnaces to keep warm. Also gives them a place to lie down and distributes manure. I unrolled about half of a bale then went back uphill. Also nice to see liquid in the waterer in this weather. Here are some random pictures.
