davy crockett - 12/29/2025 09:59 those who bet the moon on "land prices goin` up infinity " may not have put their chips on the correct roulette wheel color, but I don`t know. $3 and $8 are survivable, but it won`t support latest technology, maybe plant Epley corn and cultivate with a 6 row behind a 4020 and livestock in the mix? it seems Brazil is "making it" raising beans cheaper and increasing acres 4% annually, if they can consistently run under 4 minute miles, we can too. Maybe not a 6 row and 4020 but dropping some high rent/far away acres and strip tilling with a 12 row/30ft or 16 row/40ft with a moderate sized tractor is more likely to be profitable than what many are doing now. I've been surprised recently to see at least two high hp, articulated, belted drive tractors out by the highway with for sale signs on them even here in hilly sw wi. I didn't know these were even used here.
