When you opened SMS on the old computer, did it ask you to make a new project? 

It almost sounds like your data location changed somehow. Drive letter changed or something. If you open SMS to the projects screen, do you have any other options under that upper left data location drop down? You can have as many of those as you want. Your good data might be hiding in a different one accidentally
