Pittsburg, Kansas | Smart I am not. You would not believe the lifetime mistakes I have made. They are numerous.
Not that I can fathom. I see no need to ever get down below about a third of what I had total. Heres the thing. Even at a third ownership of what I had total, if my open orders get filled to the highest step, the third left will be worth pretty close to what it was all worth a couple years ago. Or maybe more, I have never set down to figure it truthfully. And five years ago I figured I had enough to live to about 98 already figuring no gains in the off farm investments other than keeping up current buying power or in other words inflation. Did a nice big spreadsheet before we retired to see if we would have enough if we quit. We live a nice lifestyle but not extravagant and neither of us see that changing. We like the life we live.
If gold and silver went to zero now, I'm good. If it goes two or three times higher and I only have a third left, I'm good.
My only concern now is keeping my health so I can enjoy it another ten or twenty years. And with added wealth comes added responsibility. I have to figure out a way to give some of it back. To do some good with some of it. |
