There is no dispute that banks traunched the loans to obscure the rusk. Nothing wrong with making a risky loan, the credit card banks do it all the time, but they dont sell the debt as grade AA debt to pension funds and life insurance companies because those entities are prohibited from BB debt. It was the slight of hand selling traunches that masked the risk.
