Central PA | nc missouri i think you nailed it. too many pass thrus without the right address. i did not try changing the old telco routers address, this may fix it.
but to simplify, i think i will abandon the old telco router.
i have an ac mesh unit i removed when i setup the nano bridge, connecting the ac mesh to the shop bridge ethernet establishes the shop wifi automatically as it is just an extension of the udm network. unifi found the ac mesh just like it was connected to the udm before.
i guess the drawback of getting a reputible system like ubiquiti means you need to learn some it skills to set it up. not just plug and play.
im not tech illiterate (bsee years ago) but havent ever had to setup it networks and learn all the alphabet soup terms and protocols. maybe if i had no farming to do :)
on the dchp issue, does assigning everthing on the network with a fixed address inhibit that device from joining other networks using dchp? | |
