Google Maps works for quick reference, but it gets clumsy once you need clean boundaries. If you want field outlines and measurements, a GIS based tool is better. USDA Web Soil Survey or state GIS portals usually let you draw parcels and export maps. There is a learning curve, but once set up it saves time compared to printing and marking by hand.
