We were debt free for ten years and then entered an expansion phase and took on some debt. One thing is not mentioned is that if you are debt free, and decide to expand and take on debt, it's easy to do that. It's a lot harder to reverse course if you are in a lot of debt, it's hard to dig yourself out of it.
