Like those in the Depression , that '80's era of 22% interest & land dropping 50% ...Sticks with you a long time . Most who really started farming around 2007 ethanol boom never have seen much in set backs yet.
Buying land "here" today you just have to bet on inflation . Depending where you are in Ontario $20-50k cdn. acre . Sucks a lot of $$ . Local Deere dealer has a S7 700 used with 49 hrs., only asking $949k ....
Younger ones tell me too shut up your old,true, but you still need to make the payments |
