But if you get up and ride around with me in Hagie when applying late N you can drive down the road and see the spot in ther fields that is begging for a shot of N. It’ll b light green and struggling in those areas. Won’t find the same in ours. Now some will say color doesn’t translate to yield. But a dark healthy green plant will take up more nutrients and ward off more disease in our trials. And in our experience after 4 seasons of y-dropping we have went later with last trip. Trying to hit corn at grain fill . Translates to great test weight. Hauling corn to town now that is 63-64# test weight with all we doing . | |
