Like mentioned above I am questioning my 4 year plan to get here. If times actually do turn tough I’m well positioned, but being in my mid 30’s I feel I have ran worse equipment for my acres and have passed up too many land opportunities. So unless you are in a multi-generational position I think debt is needed to keep pushing the operation.


I agree. I hope to use my operating note less each year, but also don't want that to be my main goal. I don't think it matters in most cases of multi generational position as each generation has the responsibility (if they so choose and depending on what sacrifice was made for them) to push the operation to allow those that follow the opportunity, if desired, to join and push for their decedents.
