Champaign, IL | If I sold what I had bought, I will be in divorce court.
My favorite cousin was a jeweler in California. I was visiting with him when I got married. He said retail diamonds were a poor investment. So, when I got married I took the money that I would have spent on a nice diamond ring and bought precious metal, for my precious wife. The increase in value of the metal had FAR exceeded what any retail diamond would have done.
Wife is not happy that the metal is stored in the local bank. And, she can’t wear metal. Finally had to go out and buy a zirconium ring. Can’t win.
