Holland, Indiana (SW IN) | We bought a 30 KW 4 cylinder JD turbo at a gov auction auction $3500 --got lucky it was pristine
New belts, batteries, and hoses fired right up
decided "better get a spare" another gov auction bought a 60 KW (6 cylinder JD turbo) $3000
More time in the 60 mice and chipmunks had gotten into areas ---however again just belts, and hoses --patched wiring mice had chewed on
Both machines 200 Hrs bought both sight unseen 200 miles from SW Indiana
Neither were computerized --"dial gauges, manual switches , relays, breakers, lots of wiring--
I'm pretty handy with an electrical tester on non computer stuff ---
the 60 KW possibly a little bigger than needed for drone use --
have a grain system with a 275 KW "400 HP L10 Cummins"
I'm thinking IF "when" the 275 goes down --could limp by not running the dryer fan using the 60
Military have fuel tanks under them-- dry the 30 weighs 2800# the 60 3800#
I'm questioning IF a 22KW would be big enough to power all our pumps , chargers, big fair type cattle fan and a window AC cooling the batteries
we now use one T40 have a 21,000# 3 axle bumper pull trailer
Don't know what the future holds drone wise may need the 60KW
Good luck in what you buy
Dan
