About the only thing one can think might be positive about purposely waiting 'til now is there probably isn't a line at the elevator. But, they might be short of workers this time of year also.

Christmas corn doesn't always mean 15% corn either.

I would probably submit myself for a "mental wellness" exam if I had waited and let good combining days pass until now. I am pretty sure if one had crop-share rented ground & corn was still in the field, this would be the last year of your tenancy. That's "here" anyway

I haven’t “purposely waited” or let “good combining days pass.” I started the first week of September and I’ve used every single good day since then and some I shouldn’t have. I’m mostly a one man show so it takes awhile. The only thing the landlords around here care about is if the checks are good. Beyond that they might drive by their land once a year but that’s about it
