Were you getting the thistles controlled when using Surestart? Why did you switch from Surestart to Capreno?
Yes, I do think I had the thistle under better control with surestart. I switched to capreno because it was much less material to handle and can spray 20" corn vs 11" with surestart. The later spray window has really helped with my johnsongrass problem, it is nearly non-existent in corn now
