coast of Maine | That is how it is done in most businesses in the USA.There are very few (except in the midwest I guess)employees that are staying where they start. The high tech world has such frequent job transitions that those in the fields of phrama/engineering /comp tech receive a constant stream of job offers. It should not be called "poaching" but job "advancement".It is surely excepted so much that when I have an employee that needs more$$ I recommend them to better paying employers.Pay them better, treat them better, give them more input to decisions etc.I recently gave an advancement to a school district employee.Bettter pay, mileage reimbursement if needed, more time off, fexible hours, same medical coverages. She was top of the line district employee, now she is top of the line at our farm . | |
