) they say what they believe, and think. My kids were taught to stand firm in their beliefs. Sounds like yours , like you, had no convictions to stand on.
You taught yours, that dishonesty was acceptable and lauded, ours were taught just the opposite.
Big difference in being "spoilers for many kids when they got school age" and standing for their beliefs. Who told them to be spoilers? I'm wondering if you told them what was in their presents when they asked? Gotta be honest......
