West of Mpls MN about 50 miles on Hwy 12 | By Roman Christians after Emperor Constantine's adoption of Christianity. Easter was the primary Christian holiday before Christmas was celebrated on December 25th.
Some records show early Christians (before Emperor Constantine) were remembering Jesus' birth, but without a set date. The Bible doesn't specify Jesus' birth date, but Luke mentions shepherds with flocks, suggesting spring, while some historians estimate a 6-4 B.C. birth.
The first known Christmas on December 25 appeared in Rome in 336 A.D. when Emperor Constantine's adoption of Christianity helped solidify the December 25 date, replacing pagan winter solstice festivals.
So...celebrating Jesus Christ's birth on December 25th...I suppose could be considered another "lie" about the Roman Christians Christmas holiday that we adults have been telling children for Centuries...kind of like Santa Claus.
