NW Iowa | I am watching closely on the FEB corn price
to see if it matches last yr.
So far it's trending that way.
Went up to $5.17 i believe around Feb 17th
till the last few days before the acreage report March 1
Then after March 1 it tanked.
Cash bid was $3.92 out of the field at the high at local E plant.
It hit $4.20 cash awhile back and went back down. The moved basis from -15 to -30.
It's back to $4.18 with that -30. I figure i want at least $.35 for storing my corn.
Getting close to letting some go.
The big question is are we going to be up or
down on corn acres. That is the magic question right now.
Exports are running though the roof
Edit- we are almost at the exact same price as last yr at this time.
The low almost matched the exact same time in Aug for 24 and 25
