Malta, Illinois | The Elf on a Shelf thing came along a very long time after we were done raising kids. Thank goodness because I am not sure I could have stomached that whole deal. It basically makes the parents a slave to the damn thing for the whole month! It seems to me to be something that makes parenting a lot harder and does little to add to the magic of Christmas and the true meaning of the season. Some would make the same argument about Santa but I see it a little bit different. | |
