SW OH | So sitting here with my 26 year old daughter and my wife discussing this thread. Our daughter was a believer until about 10. They also reminded me of an incident on the school bus when she was 7 or 8. A boy was making fun of her for believing in Santa Claus. Her older brother who is 5 years older and knew the truth intervened. He pretty much got in a first fight with the other boy. Our son got suspended from the bus for 5 days over it. He was standing up for his sister and didn't want her belief in Santa Claus compromised.
Our daughter, sitting here now, is glad she believed in Santa Claus, the tooth fairy, Easter bunny, the boogie man, etc. She has lots of fond childhood memories about "little white lies".
