Ted, you sure don't talk about technology for someone who is close to 80!  I'm guessing you would be very disappointed if you went backwards in bandwidth with your internet service and only save $70/month.  Also, you might want to look into the fiber service from your local provider.  For years we were told we had to have a landline or our total cost from the local (only) provider would be higher.  Times have changed and on Monday we canceled our landline only have internet service.  Our internet service cost went up $10/month but the total bill went down $30/month.  For reference we have a 500/250 service that will cost us about $110/month.  Our local ISP is the best I have ever worked with for speed and reliability.
