| Wasn’t home at the time, but remember my brother saying he finished combining our uncle’s beans in January of 73. Had to wait for ground to freeze. Most farmers had sold out of beans long before that run up. However his old landlady had just tucked hers in the local elevator and forgot about them. Local manager called her up one day and wondered why she was still holding on. He said the cash price was really good. She said I guess I might’s as well sell. She hit the very top, must have been in the teens or near that. A great marketing plan. | |
