WCMO-SWMO Area | The Fall of 1972 was terribly wet across most of the country..Lots of beans rotted in the field..We finished up in January 1973 with a 403 IH with no cab...We were cutting the last of them over the top of a 5-6 inch snow when it was near 0 degrees...A neighbor finished his beans in late April and planted corn in that field the next day.When we started bean harvest they were like $3-4 and when we finished they were around $10...Even though we lost lots of beans we made good money on what we got...The quality was terrible but they would buy stuff they normally wouldnt have...
