One of the issues I see with Santa is that he seems rather rude and classist because he usually brings rich kids expensive gifts and poor kids cheap toys.
My wife and I talked about this a lot when our first was born. In our house Santa brings one thing each that the kids need, read, want and wear. Never anything very expensive. Anything expensive always comes from Mom and Dad. I didn't want my kids being the reason some kid thought Santa **** on him. |
