Aren't you the kid from Scotland a few years back making a post about farming a few thousand acres of family owned land as a one man show? No I haven't seen every field in Bon Homme county, went to Yankton yesterday seen a couple of fields still out east of Tyndall, maybe they're yours. Anyway, Merry Christmas and happy harvesting.

Definitely not a kid but whatever. Yeah that was me. Lost my uncle since that first post so had to figure things out a little sooner than expected but it’s settling down now.

You're lucky. One snowstorm/blizzard away from huge losses. I've picked corn in snow before and you can have at it. I hope to never be caught like that again.

To each their own. I might get caught in a really bad blizzard eventually but not this year. Law of averages is on my side. We have good fall/early winter weather more often than not and I’m pretty good at harvesting late anyway. If it’s your first time ever harvesting in winter it can be an absolute nightmare but I’ve done this enough and I’ve been taught a few tricks and even made up a few on my own so I’m not worried.
