coast of Maine
Turn off the water pump.Put an old style mercury(heaven forbid) thermostat at 45 degrees, main floor. This on a vented propane heater with a millivolt system(no electric required).Have the heat pump set low on lower floor. The old round dial mercuries go to 40 degrees.I think thats where mom/dad set it the homestead when we were kids,,hehehhe,One thing I suggest is be very sure all doors cannot be blown open before you leave.Had it happen in September,,was astounded, but heavy wind off the lake, must have been ajar.
