Elevators around here usually charge .10 to .20 above the bid price posted if you want to buy from them, or in other words a handling fee. I've sold corn to e plant and price at the board dropped 50 cents, so I bought from elevator and turned probably 30 cents/bu after figuring my time and trucking costs.
