I thought that only evolved farmers, pickups and gravel roads.
For full effect that has to happen on flat roads where approaching traffic is visible from a great distance to maximize the amount of time that the approaching traffic can be ignored to the point it has to stop and wait for someone to move the vehicles/equipment to the same side of the road to allow passage. The same can be said for shopping carts.
