No finished up the 23rd of October.

So now I have to ask why are you running this late? To many acres, weather problems or something else?

Hard to make farming work 2 weeks in spring, 2 weeks in fall. Harvest here starts early august with corn silage, runs clear through Thanksgiving. This year and 2009 went into Dec. Its a marathon not a sprint

We started September 16th. We plant a 1.1 bean up to 108-day corn to make it work on both ends. We ran 6 weeks hard to not combine in the snow. By my guess we are 90 miles apart {original poster} so that's what made me ask the question.
I will say we are way better set up to combine in the snow than ever, but I'm not taking the risk. So, it's probably a race for us?

I remember getting a big snowstorm on Halloween, so that plays in my mind every year. The one year we did combine in the snow the whirl was full of ice, no fun at all.
Good luck
