| there`s a few items to unpack from tariff aftermath. such as I have no doubt on parts and specific machines that companies can use tariffs as an excuse to raise their prices, ie: " we`re gonna sell 100,000 units every year regardless of price, where else our customers gonna go?" . other companies have to strategize around countries of origin, eat some tariffs at expense of some of their healthy profits ECT... but isn`t that also known as efficiency? farmers have to sharpen their pencils every day seed, fertilizer and repairs seldom get cheaper we don`t take profit as a birthright, it has to be earned.
kind of a bonus from the tariffs kind of exposed the big profits these multinational companies make and their ability to cut prices when push comes to shove. also for the typical consumer products, there hasn`t really been empty shelves and unavailable products. though the way it sounds with the consolidation of equipment dealerships there are self- created scarcities of repair parts. | |
