The thing Dan does accomplish is to get pilots to think about things. Obviously he’s gotten you to think some too. I am not a pilot, just interested, and I find I have to filter out a lot of some of Dan’s other interests that show up in his videos. I am not much interested in most of his investigative journalism.

However, without someone like him, this becomes just another accident that quickly falls off the radar without anyone ever learning anything from it.

With your handle, I’m sure you’re aware of his 150 experience with cornfield landing. A lot of similarities to this one, making power …… but too much drag for the power available due to flaps etc hanging out there in the breeze.

Also a lot in common with the 210 crash in New York that killed the AOPA guy that was a former Thunderbird pilot etc. Lots of pilot expertise on board doesn’t get you back to the runway if you don’t have enough energy.
