Subject: Georgia boots and tariffs

I know this could be anecdotal but I have bought a specific Georgia work boot (made in China) at Ace hardware in Fairmont, Mn for years now for $153 and I was curious with all this tariff blame game what the price is now. well, they are $163, up $10 after the tariff scare. I don`t even know for sure tariffs have a factor, because after years of $153, they about were due to go up an understandable $10. some may argue that there was front loading of supplies and companies eating the tariffs, but that`s just my quantifiable experience on the consumer end of the purchase. when I first heard of the "140%!!!" tariffs coming I fully expected those boots to be well north of $200.
