| My suggestion would be take it to a local gunsmith and ask to be able to watch him do it. I can clean my bolt action rifles and semi auto shotguns but lever actions and semi auto rifles are for people with better mechanical skills than I possess. I am blessed though, with several good gunsmiths within an hour of home.
Good luck with whatever you decide. My Dad had a 742 or 7400 years ago when I was a teen. I remember it as a heavy gun. | |
