| Dealing with protected territories almost caused me to go different color. The “local” dealer who was never local to me has me in their sales area now which I have never bought a machine from before. We started negotiating in September and finally came to agreement last week. It is a fair deal from my perspective. Not as low as I was driving for but I felt still fair. The Oregon dealer was very generous and came up with a T to demo even though I am not in their sales area. They offered me a price on the T but I about crapped because no discounts or anything could be given to me since I am not in his sales area even though we had bought at least three machines there previously. AGCO needs to let customers chose who they do business with instead of having these protected territories. I am hoping things go smooth with no major failures under warranty as I have zero experience with the big dealer service team. The smaller dealers tend not to charge for road time on service calls under warranty, while this dealership does not run this way as I understand talking to other customers. I can’t complain about them, but am nervous going forward. My closest dealer with stocked parts is still about 80 miles away. We can fix most things ourselves. If it is major and under warranty is when we ask for some help. Hopefully the big dealer can service us. | |
