Sure, you're correct on all those points Ben.   Was just making note of the underlying differences between a road vehicle and one that is structurally designed to leave the ground.   We're just splitting hairs about something awful.   I'm not sure if the ten seconds after impact could be any worse than the prior ten seconds knowing you were not going to make a runway that is so close to saving you.    Or the guys in the MD11 last month who did everything right and had no possible way to recover the jet.   It all sucks.   Fate Is the Hunter.
