East Central South Dakota | I would put that on the spreadsheet of the P&L statements for your enterprises. $20,000 repair on a $80,000 tractor, means the tractor is still worth only $80,000. $20,000 repair doesn't make it worth $100,000. If you farm 2000 acres that $20,000 repair gets divided by 2000 and you just added $10/acre to your cost of production (COP). In my opinion repairs don't add value to the assets on the balance sheet. |
