Just north of I-90 in SW MN | House is 100 feet from shop and when I built shop(10 years ago) I put a sleeve in the ground from the house. House has wireless (radio) internet and have a switch and router in the shop.
Fast forward to today and now have fiber internet at the house and need a new cable to shop to support the added bandwidth.
Great thing is my girls were wanting to print out coloring pages and found the network printer that is in the shop online. I was working in the office and hear the printer spooling up to print and see the pages being printed. Need only one printer for both the shop and house.
Internet in the shop is a must IMO. Always looking for parts, how to do things and talking here on AgTalk!
Whatever you decide to do make sure you have plenty of room to work your cables. Made mistake of using a small outlet box for connections.
