Do you have a deep freezer alarm? If not and you get one make sure it also has alarm on it. I had old freezer do that years ago and watched it several weeks and all seemed ok. Went back downstairs a good week later to get something out of it and opened door and yuck. Talk about a stinking job.
What I do in a freezer I'm not in frequently is you fill about a half inch of water in a soup bowl, freeze it, then drop a quarter on top of the ice. If freezer ever thaws, you will be able to tell. |
