| There is about 1,500 acres of irrigated certified organic farmland that I may be able to lease. The owners would like to do a crop share. What is a fair percentage to go with? All 1,500 acres is under center pivots with ditch water and well water. The ditch water bill is about $30k every year. How should all the input costs be divided, if at all. I'm not sure what the power bill would be but some of the wells are deep basalt wells which does cost a lot to pull water from far down.
