So you say "most software won't do this....". What software do you use that generates a spread map like your 2nd map shown?

Are you suggesting a particular software? Or just saying that some mapping systems can already make such spread maps? I'm interested.

After spreading our own VRT fertilizer for a few years now, I understand that a custom spreader going 18 ++ mph can't possibly keep up with the changes per the grid, zone, or whatever.....accurately.

I am a sales rep and daily user of GK Technology Inc Ag Data Mapping Solution. It is raster based instead of vector based like most farm mapping software solutions. This allows for much higher resolution RX maps with interpolation. We are still at the mercy of the limitations of the monitor in your cab and the limitations of the machine controllers. I can send out a map that would offer row by row rates for a planter or nozzle by nozzle for a sprayer, but there is not a display out there that would load that high of resolution on any field larger than a couple acres. Most monitors will load 6 meter (19.6 ft) resolution for up to 160 acres. I am not aware of a floater that will control more than 1 rate across the entire spread width. So that is another limitation in the field. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
