Strathcona, mn | Let’s just say there was a reason alcoholism and spousal/child abuse was rampant! Half joking and half truth…. I can’t imagine trying to live in a sod hut in the red river valley throughout a winter. Not even a tree in sight to cut for wood. Burn buffalo chips for heat, have ground blizzards so bad you can’t see your hand in front of you for days on end. Temp hitting 40+ below zero. Then be in a very small room with a spouse and children…… yep, they all were much tougher than we ever will be! | |
