S.E. Iowa | Plus build a house, barns, fences, and wells. If I tore my stone house down I would guess there to be 60 to 70 dump truck loads of rip rap. I am 2 miles from the nearest place there could have been a quarry. My little ford ranger pickup probably can haul what a team of horses can haul at a real speed. It boggles my mind how much them people worked. The neighbor said about my place, you have to remember there was probably 70 or 80 people working there. My home was built in 1864.
