Northeast Tennessee | The Health Insurance Marketplace is far from perfect, but is the best option for most self-employed folks that meet the income limits or don't have a spouse with workplace health insurance. Like someone said, allowing insurance companies to use pre-existing conditions against self-employed folks will not let regular health insurance work right. Someone making double the poverty level simply can't afford to pay what health insurance with with pre-existing conditions costs on top of everything else that has to be paid. Healthcare cost in the USA is the highest in the world, healthcare quality is not even near being first. | |
