Minnesota | the aca took ours from 800 a month with 5000 deductible to 1800 a month with a 12000 deductable, wife found a postal job shortly after, with the better insurance DRs do push more testing and things we don't need, this drives up price, plus administration fees are a large %, and the price gouging on just basic over the counter drugs for a surgery are crazy, why not address the real problem? the lack of transparency in pricing and lack of competition. Maybe something based on a little personal responsibility attached to it would have helped? maybe if more people would ask a few questions rather then just going with what the dr says it would help? I always ask questions, even with good insurance, some drs get offended, I don't care.
It's only going to get worse, some want single payer but with the general health of a large % of the population I don't see that turning out to well, no easy answers, its a mess and has been for a long time. | |
