| Basically the government subsidies that were designed to expire are expiring.
Hence the insurance companies are going to the original gouging prices and the actual insuree is on the hook for the whole tab instead of the government picking up that part of the tab.
The reasons why it got to this point and what can happen moving forward I can't discuss on this forum lest the thread get nuked and there is no need for that.
I refuse to use the ACA and my premiums have steadily climbed every year, up this year an even larger 12% than what they were last year, we're WELL over $3,000 a month, just in premium, family of 4.
It HAS been ugly, but most people I believe haven't seen it because they were protected by subsidies.
