The M modem is really made for G5 series displays as they switched to an automotive style 2 wire ethernet, the ethernet switch is an expensive solution but does work
2 wire Ethernet is an awesome technology but its very new still

The best alternative is to buy a R modem (previously known as 4G MTG) and buy the AgExpress power cable for it:

The ethernet on the R modem / MTG is directly compatible with a 2630 via a ethernet cable
