East Central, Nebraska | i would also like to know that. i have a seed one and a fertilizer one.
dont trash it, it has some value to someone. yours looks ver rough but even id pay something for it despite having multiples already.
i know the difference between the different seed modules being one being the stepper and the other pwm, what i wish i could wrap my head around is why rawson was the only company that had a stepper motor, or why a person couldn't do as you say and make it work for a drill or cover crop drive. i mess around with hobby electronics and electric stepper motors are very much a very valid thing in 3d printers, cnc's and many other things. they are very incredibly precise and accurate so why they died out in ag is confusing to me.
i ran a rawson steppers for years and years, and a couple different types of drives over the years and got along great. i am with you in wanting to repurpose these modules. maybe someone will enlighten us on why the stepper drive went away and what made them ultimately undesirable. i never tore into one but wanted to. the last rawson steppers i had i sold last year, they were in great shape with low hours and the guy told me he just bought them to put on the shelf as he was told they can no longer be repaired. hopefully you will get some good feedback on your post. | |
